How to care for your Tutu

STORAGE:

Upon the arrival of your tutu, remove the tutu from the packaging and shake. Gently comb your fingers through the tulle, straightening any twisted or crumpled strips and fluff. Hang the tutu to keep it fluffy, being careful to space it away from other items/clothing to avoid crushing the tutu.

 

CLEANING:

Our tutus are made of high quality tulle, a gentle hand wash with warm soapy water and/or spot cleaning is recommended.

DO NOT MACHINE WASH | DO NOT TUMBLE DRY.

 

WRINKLES: 

If your tutu gets crumpled or flattened through normal fun, play a light steam is recommended. Steam from your shower is the best way to remove wrinkles. Hang your tutu in the same area as the shower and let the steam do the work.  Comb and shake, flip the tutu inside out and repeat. Then fluff!

Or

You can hang the tutu in a suitable area and spritz a 50/50 mix of water and fabric softener plus 1 teaspoon of any lotion over the layers of the tutu.  Comb your fingers through the layers to straighten and leave to air dry.

 

REVIVING A DULL TUTU:

Due to the softness of tulle, over time the fluffiness of the tutu may slightly flatten out. To fluff it back up again, simply separate the layers by going around the skirt and gently pulling them apart. You will get Instant tutu fluffiness!

 

FRAYED TUTU ENDS:

Occasionally you may notice that tutu may get caught on something or fray at the ends. Simply cut the frayed ends carefully with sharp scissors.
